IGFK Sponsors State Champion Booker T. Washington Mock Trial Team

Iola, Gross & Forbes-King is proud to support the 2026 state champion mock trial team from Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts.

The team secured first place out of more than 25 high school teams at the 47th annual state championships hosted by the Dallas Bar Association in March, continuing Booker T’s dynasty in high school mock trial competition. In addition, teammate Reese Elder received the 2026 Outstanding Advocate Award.

The team then represented Texas at the national

championships in Des Moines, Iowa, last month, coming away with a top 25 finish in May.

We’re proud to support these bright young minds and are inspired by the passion and enthusiasm they bring to oral advocacy. The communication, critical thinking, and presentation skills they are developing through mock trial will serve them well no matter what career path they pursue.
